No issues here, have you tried a new profile?

Could be nothing more than a problematic add-on. Disable all add-ons. If the problem goes away, start re-enabling add-ons one at a time until the problem reappears.
I am currently using Mozilla Minefield 3.6a1pre (Firefox 3.6 pre-alpha development), and it loads rather quick.
If you are truly concerned about Firefox start times, there is an older preload utility available as an open source project. AFAIK, it should work with current Firefox builds. Be sure to read the documentation, as IIRC there is a note about use close to end Firefox instead of exit. Firefox Preloader | Get Firefox Preloader at SourceForge.net

No it's not a question of add-ons or settings, or something to clean. It's a real FF issue on many many systems.
Please see FF support forums; people already tried everything: Firefox 3.5 won't start |

Interesting. I run trunk development, so these types of issues are generally expected, but branch is usually quite stable.
Anyway, I dropped by mozillaZine for a quick skim. Try this: Quote: On a related note, I would point to a specific Bugzilla ID#, but it appears a few people perhaps not fully understanding how Bugzilla works have stuffed the database with multiple "critical" bug reports for the slow start problem. To anyone tempted to file a Bugzilla entry, take note that a slow start is a not a "critical" software failure, plus there is no need to submit multiple bug reports for the same issue. Search for a corresponding bug entry (odds are the bug has already been reported), read the comments for the bug, then add your findings if relevant and informative to the bug discussion. |

Anyways, no issues here with Firefox. Just a slow computer in general (Vista with 512 MB of RAM, tis slow, but will upgrade eventually). |

From there just create a second profile just to see if it is indeed an FF issues. If you still get the slow down then you might want to wipe out the old install and re-install it all over again. |
