| Domain user adjust time when it is Day Light Saving
Hi user domain adjust time - Google Search Giving domain users permission to change their clocks
I have read many threads about domain user how to adjust time on his/her computer ,,,but I could not find an answer that I can rely on it
I know that if an admin loges in to each PC for a domain user,,, he/she can adjust the time,,,,this is not practical when you have got 100 users and above
But how can we let the domain user do that by him/her self
or can be done automatically as described in script in the link below How to Tick automatically adjust clock for daylight saving changes for domain users? : adjust, clock, daylight, automatically, saving
Thanks |

Look at this site, the last post describes how to set user policies to a Domain user group. How do i enable domain users to update system time from the server???? Quote:
On client PC
1. Login as administrator
2. User Manager
3. Policies
4. User Rights
5. Right - Change the system time
6. Grant to add - add a group that all users belong to eg Domain Users
Hope this helps!

| Although this is not practical , I did try that , but whenever I change a time on each client PC, it keeps get reverting to one houre back, although time zone is the right one

Hi,
Without seeing it, it sounds like it is an issue relating to 'daylight savings'.
If it is only one machine that is having the isue, then I would ensure that the "automatically adjust" box is ticked; if it is all client computers that are doing this, then it is likely to be something on the server's time settings.....

| I did untick that one as well on each client PC still the same issue is going on Quote: |

| Server time is correct time (i.e no delay) unlike client PCs |

| I have been advised below : Quote: |
Edit a GPO and setting the "Change the system time" right which can be found at "Computer Configuration--> Policies--> Windows Settings--> Security Settings--> Local Policies--> User Rights Assignments--> Change the system time". The users shouldn't need to change anything when daylight savings time comes around. The OS should change the system time automatically. | Today on the server I tried to access " Change the system time " option as can bee seen in the snap shot below : Imageshack - re4_cap9_lg.jpg
What should I click or add to let OS change the system time automatically ?
Compare that with with the " Change the system time " for a client PC Imageshack - changethesystemtimeloca
On the server "Add User or Goups" and "Remove" buttons are grayed out while on a clinet PC are not .

You shouldnt have to change anything on the clients GPO wise, they sync their time with the PDC automagically. Did you check to see if the DST patch was installed as Jarhead instructed? |
