Anybody using Kamera with KDE3?
Under periferals in kControl, it allows you to set up your digital camera and then access it's contents from konqueror using camera:/
Anybody have it working?
I'm trying to connect my Kodak DC290 (ok not the casual camera, as it uses digita, but it's supported) and eventhougn the camera otherwise works (with 3rd party software) and I think it can be seen by Kamera (as the error messages are different when the camera is connected and when not), all I get is:
Could not claim USB device
Any ideas?

Hm it appears it needs to have the device for itself without loading any modules (dc2xx etc).
Too bad as my cli script works nicely and this only offers drag and drop.
Nice touch though

Haven't tried Kamera yet. I use GPhoto myself. Works well with my "cheapo" Samsung 800K.

The DC290 uses digita (hey that's open source, you can turn your camera into a motion detector, or even a distance measuring tool
) and it's not that commonly supported. gphoto2 supports it but I prefer my own tools.
I tried Kamera, and while it sees the contents, all pictures show up as 0 size and cannot really copy them. Weird....
