| What is torrent, how to download with torrents? Quote: Torrent is a small file (around few kilobytes) with the suffix .torrent, which contains all the information needed to download a file the torrent was made for. That means it contains file names, their sizes, where to download from and so on. You can get torrents for almost anything on lots of web sites and torrent search engines.Torrent is the most popular way of downloading large files, including movies and games. |
Basically, you'll download the "torrent" file. It's just a small file that takes to a user with the file your wanting to download. It's a way to transfer files via P2P network. |

I've only used it once, but I noticed that the 1 video I downloaded was coming from 5 or 6 sights at the same time. Each sight or personal PC gives you a part of the file. ( probably speeds it up)
Also as soon as I had parts of the file others started downloading those parts from me.

You can get anything via bittorrent. Download a bittorrent client, like bitlord. Bitlord, install it, then when you download a torrent, it will appear as a bitlord torrent file, run the file, Bitlord will automatically open up, you will see the torrent on the list. You will also be able to see how many seeds and peers there are that have this file active, there are 2 types of peers, the Seeds and Leeches, the seeds are the uploaders, or sources. the Leeches are the ones leeching the files, once you are done, you become a seed. and people will download from you. actually with most bittorrent clients, (bitlord) you will begin uploading not long after you begin recieving the files. The real trick to downloading from torrents, is not only can it be risky, but you also have to sometimes have to figure out how to run the files once you recieve them. Alot of content comes in iso files and cue&bin, sometimes uif files. different programs will sometimes be needed to run them. Alot of torrents come in multiple rar files, you decompress the first one and it will decompress them all to form one file or iso. Well enough said. Just try not to get to addicted and dont become a bittorrent junkie. If you do, next thing you know, you will have terabytes of stuff you may never even use. LOL. |
