| Nero 7 Compatible with windows 7?
Is nero 7 compatible with windows 7? I mostly use it for DVD backup of concert DVDs and I want to extract individual songs for conversion to mp4, h.264, etc.
Is there any open source software that will do the same?

Since Win 7 just came out
Looking on Nero's web site is a good idea...
Running the MS Win & upgrade Wizzrd i another one.
The genera jest - if an app works on VIsta - it'll work on Win 7.

I'm not to sure about 7, I was going to try installing 6 and it was a no go or at least I got a pop-up that said there would be compatibility issues.
Might check the Windows 7 Compatibility Site

I have had Nero 7 running fine on W7 (one of the Release Candidate versions.)

My version of Nero 7 isn't compatible. I might have to bite the bullet and buy Nero 9 |

There is plenty of open source software to replace nero.
For audio try audacity. Video try Handbrake. There is stuff built in for backup and iso burning. |

I tried Handbrake, works great! Who needs Nero with their bloated overpriced software. |

I'm still using NERO 8. Worked fine with Vista 64-bit, works the same with Windows 7
