HOW would I get the drivers for components of a debranded computer.?

Some of the "Refurbished" computers out there on the market are actually brand-new.
They are I believe stock that was returned as unsold by venders when they were discontinued and replaced by a newer model. They were returned by major venders and distributers for a credit on newer models or are unsold stock by the OEM manufactuers.
Now some of these are sold as de-branded and are not covered by manufacturers warrentees. They also lack Operating Systems or software, wherein lies the problem.

I have OEM OS disks with COA to put on one, and an optical drive change or addition would provide the DVD compression SW. However, __ the componants are another problem.
Recently, I tried to download the SW for a DE-Branded HP LCD monitor. It would not download because it would not recognize the "de-branded" monitor as an HP monitor.
Given this, I would expect a similar problem if I tried to download from HP Support the drivers for computer Mobo, tuner, videocard etc. To complicate matters, many of the parts used by Manufacturers are either not sold in the enthusiast market or are in proprietary versions and even forms.
What to do? Any way of getting around this.
Does WIndows provide drivers for major manufacturers?
Does Ubuntu?
