Automatically start browser at specified time & page

    Hello,

I want to make my browser start automatically weekly, same day and time and open a specified page.

    My questions are:

    1. I tried the Outlook way, like in MS tutorial OL2000: How to Automatically Open a Web Page at a Specified Time.
Well, in step 7 there is no "This is an Online meeting" check box in my window, and of course no "NetShow Services", so I can't conclude the setup; the question is what is wrong with Outlook (I use Outlook 2003).

    2. Is there any other smarter way to do this..?

    Thanx

Which OS, you can setup task scheduler to open IE or FF on a specific page at any given time.

Break down on how to do it

Open task scheduler - sart > control panel > admin tools
    create new task -
define your triggers basically set your time and date you want to have the page opened
set your actions - set it to open either IE or FF you'll need to find the exe locations for that one. Set the page you want as the parameter (or argument)

    viola you should be set

    Thanks, RicheemxX!
This seems to be a much better choice for me!!

    I have WindowsXP Pro

    One more question:
how do I specify the desired pages as parameters, to be opened in separate tabs...?

I can see the command line in TaskScheduler is:
    "C:\Program Files\Mozilla Firefox\firefox.exe"
    Should it be something like
    "C:\Program Files\Mozilla Firefox\firefox.exe Google, www.yahoo.com"

    Thanx

P.S. what do you b\mean by viola?

    my misspelling of voila

it has been awhile since I've done it in XP and I don't know you can do separate tabs for just one it would be
    "C:\Program Files\Mozilla Firefox\firefox.exe" google.com

you just need to add the name of the site, no http or www you can try it for two and see what happens??

just tried it in W7 with that parameter you don't need the comma just leave a space and it opens both

hey glad to help and I learned something new along the way. Heck I'm playing around and already got it setup to open my browser and pages about wake-up time everyday.
