Thread: win2k boot?

    win2k boot?

     
    When I boot into win2k pro, it takes about 2 minutes to go from the opening screen with the progress bar near the bottom until the desktop is open and ready to use. The progress bar goes almost immediately to about half-way then waits all that time to continue.

    Does anyone know a way to tweak the system so it boots faster?

    I would say kill all services and programs starting that you dont need. There is a good thread on services around here somewhere.

    i agree. it's loading a lot of drivers and devices and whatnot that you probably do not need.
