    Error:- “The Security Center is currently unavailable because the “Security Center” s

     
    I am getting the following error at the time of running windows security center.

    “The Security Center is currently unavailable because the “Security Center” service has not started or was stopped. Please close this window, restart the computer (or start the “Security Center” service), and then open the Security Center again.”

    I have no idea why this error showing.. Please advise how to resolve this issue.....

    We need to know what operating system you're referring to. Did you search this error?

    Hi Osprey4,

    My Operating system is Windows XP service pack 2. Yes I am searching about this error in Google but still not find any suitable solution of this problem. please help

    Error message when you try to open Windows Security Center in Control Panel on a Windows XP-based computer

    When You run Windows Security Center you might receive the following error

    “The Security Center is currently unavailable because the “Security Center” service has not started or was stopped. Please close this window, restart the computer (or start the “Security Center” service), and then open the Security Center again.”

    1. Click Start, click Run, type Services.msc, and then click OK.
    2. In the right pane, double-click Security Center.
    3. In the Startup type list, click Automatic, click Apply, click Start, and then click OK.
    4. Restart the computer.

    Hi Richeemxx,

    While surfing internet, I got to a forum where I saw a person’s blog who also had the same query like me. Someone posted a website link with the guideline on that forum. It was completepcpedia. com. I followed the steps and It worked for me.

    Please never mind. I really appreciate your help.
