how can i stop the "report error" message in WinXP
when something goes wrong, it will freak out with that message asking whether i want to report this error and it lists all that happened with memory this and that.....the problem is that my apache web server goes down when that message comes up.
does anybody know how to stop Windows XP from asking me whether i want to report the error?

try going to run, putting in: services.msc
then there, find the service: error reporting service

Or
Right click on My Computer go to Advanced Tab click on Error Reporting, on the new window click disable error reporting ..

did you know that in 8 minutes (you replied 8 minutes after i posted) you solved a problem that people in over 5 different technical forums could NOT answer? of those 5, Anandtech was one of them and they have over 90,000 registered people.....

i think you have to go into properties, then the advanced tab.. i dont use xp.. it annoys me.. but i think thats what ken meant

I think you'll find the maturaty level is quite a bit higher
here than at most of the other forms. There's not a lot of

June 26th, 2002, 06:53 AM #11U have to right click on "My Computer" from either Desktop, or from the start menu, it worked fine for me. And thanks, I've also wanted to know how to disable that.
