Computer boots slower after disableing services... (?!)
Hi all,
Quick question for the parents:
The computer boots a LOT slower after disabling some windows services...
It spends a long time after the windows "welcome" screen, before the taskbar appears and desktop icons appear.
Is this possible? Which services should be turned back on?
Thanks.
OS: WinXp pro SP3.

It might help to tell us what you disabled? Did you follow a guide or just randomly start cutting services?

Didn't follow a guide, just went trough the services, googleing them one by one, disableing the ones that could. I attatched the exported list out of services.msc

Indexing Service is one that sticks out as to why it might be loading slower.
Thats supposed to speed things up with accessing the HDD when windows is running.i7 940//Corsair H60//EVGA X58 SLI LE//6GB Corsair Vengeance 1600MHz//2x EVGA GTX 560 Ti FPB SLI//NZXT Hale82 850W//CM 690 II Advanced//Win7 64//WD 74GB V-raptor, 750GB Black, 1.5TB Green

Actually Indexing Service is a huge slow down its self. He has all kinds of services that need to be re enabled.
OP: I would re enable everything and then read the guides I gave a link to to determine which services should be shut down.
Speaking of services. Here is a great little app that will allow you to turn off and on services from the task manager. Prio - Priority Saver
