    Question Outlook and email....

I have MS Outlook 2007 installled on my desktop and laptop, both running Windows 7 Home Premium. My laptop connects via a wireless router. My issue is that I can send and receive email on my laptop and send and receive email on my desktop but they are seperate I can't follow up email sent from my laptop on my desktop and vise versa. is there a way around this ?

    Thanks..

Yes, the easy way is to set your email account to leave all messages on the server. That way, all messages download to either PC.

    Leave e-mail messages on your e-mail server - Outlook - Office.com

...or at least leave a copy on the server for enough days for both machines to pull the incoming items...

What I think you may have missed is that they aren't able to follow up on the mails that they have sent (note: not received...) which indicates that they are likely to be using POP-type mail, rather than an Exchange type mail system.

Without more details (to confirm my thoughts) it could be difficult to think of how to get these to replicate between each other properly.

There are a couple of workarounds:
    1) Move the PST file onto the network and point both machines at it - however, this would only allow one to connect at a time.
    2) Add yourself to all outgoing mail (BCC would be handy) as this would then enable you to leave both machines on simultaneously. You would prolly want to set up a rule that moves these to your Sent Items folder, so that you don't fill your Inbox up....

Let us know how you get on....
I've seen the light... It was green, flashy and attached to a Network Interface Card...
Whenever someone says "You can't miss it", I invariably do...

Be sure and BCC yourself so any sent mail goes to the other machine.
