    Clearing the cache with Firefox

I recently got into the tools menu in Firefox and set it to automatically clear the cache upon closing. However, when I immediately run Ccleaner I notice that the summary includes data removal from Firefox internet cache. Although the contents are merely 20 or 30 kb, I thought it would be completely empty. Does anyone know why it isn't?

In Ccleaner you should be able to click on the Firefox listings and a drop down list will appear showing just what the entries are. The cache is probably cleared, it's just probably default stuff.

Its actually pretty normal to have a few KBs left over. However when you ran the clear cache option from FF did you select all the options including active logins and site preferences?

Thanks for your rapid responses. No, in the tools menu in Firefox I only selected to clear the cache automatically upon closing but I figured that what was not checked would not end up in the cache anyway. That may have been an incorrect assumption on my part. Thanks again. I was just curious. It's only a few kbs anyway.

If you clear everything it will clear what few kbs are left over that you see in CCleaner anyways. Its just some basic site info not really that big a deal.

Ok thanks RicheemxX and Taxmancometh. I was never worried about it mainly because it's a small amount. I was just curious. Thanks again.
