Inventory, back-up and organizer (suggestions0
All I have 3 different issues that I am struggling with, so I thought why not ask here as to what programs or solutions Techimo'ers have come up with:
1. Picture back up:
I was at a house fire about 3 weeks ago doing overhaul and putting out some hot spots when under some burnt up stuff there was a computer (well what was left of one). The only thing that ran though my head while i threw it off to the side was that would be every picture of my kids, gone and lost. I have well over 3 gigs of pic and movies on my main computer. Any suggestions on backup?
Two thoughts i have are burn CDs or use Jump drives and leave them at another location. Would a network Hard drive be better or cost effective?
2. Notes and idea organization:
At work we use OneNote. it has grown on me but it is on my work computer and would like something for home. And hey if i lose my job i lose my work computer. Any thoughts or other programs, potentially compatible?
3. Home inventory program:
I happened to talk to the home owners a few weeks after the fire and well they said they are having issues with insurance as to what was actually in the house. They suggested that to avoid this headache everyone should keep an inventory with pic and or receipts. Any suggestions on programs for this?
