    Thunderbird folders question

Every once in awhile Tbird asks me if I want to compact my folders/local folders to save space. I always hit cancel. Do I want to do this? Wouldn't this in someway adversely effect my InBox.

    Thanks,

    Bill

I never compressed my folders, but it shouldn't have any effect on your inbox.
