Disable Error Messages?

I have Itunes blocked in my firewall because I only want to use it as a music player and nothing else. I've found, however, that every so often Itunes will attempt to connect to the online store. Since it can't, an error message is generated. This kicks me out of Black Ops or whatever else I'm doing, which is pretty irritating. This used to only happen maybe once a day, but since updating to version 10.5.2, it happens 1-2 times every hour or so.

The question is this: is there any way to disable a program from displaying error messages like that?

Does the app start automagically on bootup? If so, disable it from doing so.

I think he still wants the player on while gaming, so turning autostart off would be a no, no.

Lazywolf, I would try an older version of itunes and see if that rectifies the situation. Old Version of iTunes Download - OldApps.com
