    Multiple E-Mails sent\ Outlook Express

     
    When ever a friend sends E-mail to anyone, it sends the message 5 times or more.

    The messages don't seem to be infected, and if I forward one, it only goes once.

    Is there a setting that could do that, or is it malware/virus?
    I'm changing the computer out Friday, and that will fix it, but I'm curious what this is.

    After checking how many times they have their account setup.... I would:

    Zap the file Outbox.dbx ....... It'll get recreated...

    If that doesn't work, I'd do the same thing for the SentItems.dbx file.... But you'd probably want to create another folder and move the mail first...

    Think I fixed it.
    After infecting the replacement computer, by importing all the old mail folders, that is.

    The replacement started doing the same thing, so I finally got back there, and made a new folder for in box mail, and then deleted all the other folders in Documents, and Settings, restarted OE, and it seems to have fixed it.
    Right off the bat, the error went away, every time they sent, and the item didn't remain in the out box, even though it was sent.

    18 hours so far so good.
