You might have to track down some of the drivers but other than that you should be fine

    Yes.~

But unless you are planning to have more than 4 gig, you don't need it.

It will run on 2 gig, but 4 gig is generally considered minimum, with a 64 bit win7

I'd agree that 64bit really isn't needed but there really isn't a reason to not go ahead and put it on there now.

TBH drivers on a newer desktop system usually aren't that big a concern but sometimes these HP systems have OEM hardware in there that might be a PITA to find the right ones for. If something doesn't happen to auto install you'll just have to look around the HP site, Google or even the component manuf. site.

I agree, unless they never go to 4gig, it might be more sluggish than 32bit.

Myself, I wouldn't even consider 32bit. The price is the same and RAM, is cheap.

That part number doesn't work on the HP sight.
It might be there, as the message 300 items found with that number.

Unless you can find drivers, I wouldn't buy it.

I'm changing my vote to NO.

    1 It is de-branded.
2 It says "support by Geeks, and they have no support link.
3 It also says "Device Drivers not included (Drivers may be difficult to find).

Believe me, driver that are not available from the manufacturer, are a huge to impossible problem.

Xp has a few, and I assume 7 will have a few, but others have to come from the manufacturer

    "Supported By: Geeks"

Is reference to the warranty on the product too, not tech support.

I would guess that it should install fine, based on this single review on newegg...

Newegg.com - Refurbished: HP Debranded TS-0006P-AMDX611 Refurbished Desktop PC Athlon II X2 220(2.80GHz) 2GB 750GB HDD Capacity NO OS

Assuming that person can be trusted. but they said they installed Win 7 64 with out a problem.

He doesn't say where he found the BIOS and drivers.

Possibly, there are real numbers, on the computer/motherboard, and they are available at HP.
I hate to think, you have to buy it to find out.
