Apple on PC?
If I get an
Apple iPod touch 4th Generation
which runs iIOS 5 as OS,
can I transfer its apps and/or content to a PC computer that runs Safari Browser on WIN7 as OS ?

Your question is really confusing but yes you can plug your touch into your pc. Just download itunes and plug it in
Apple - iTunes - Everything you need to be entertained.
Are you asking if you can run the applications on your touch on your computer?

As GZ said, you'll need iTunes if you want to back-up apps or sync music. You cannot run the apps on your desktop though. To do that, you'd need to spend 100 bucks on the app developer program from Apple.
Good job, friend-of-friends!

Here's the problem: I'm considering getting the CAAT an Apple iPod touch 4th Generation before our next bicoastal trip because it has not only an mp3 player but also a vidcam and a still cam as well as some other apps.
However, with desktops and laptops galore, all are PCs so we don't have an Apple ecosystem to plug it into which would limit the use of the divice, nice as it is, to itself.
Unless there is someway we could intergrate across our PCs which run WIN XP or WIN7.
I noticed some have SAFARI which is an Apple concoction and it occurred to me it might support the Touch. I can't define the question more specifically simply because I'm not familiar at this point with the iOS 5 system the Touch uses.I don't know if iOS5 functions as a browser as well as an OS.
The Touch is expensive so I wanted to get some bang for the buck. It might not proove to be an issue because ITunes is multiplatform across Mac and PC..At the end of the day, it may simply be whether the content is cross-platform and so long as its under ITunes it would appear to be. I don't know if iOS 5 can create content through other apps and what happens to it under Windows.

IOS5 is an operating system, safari is a browser. The browser has nothing to do with the applications, it just view web pages.
What is CAAT?

CAAAT is the person the DOOOOOOOG hangs out with! Silly GZ.

iOS is for iPod/iPhone/iPad only. It does not function on desktops, regardless of whether they are Mac or PC. The only thing you do with the desktop (regardless of PC/Mac) is sync the device, just like you would with a video camera or MP3 player.Good job, friend-of-friends!
