Firefox browser will not watch UTube?

This is on a machine that has Windows7 Not mine. The guy has a web site he works with in using the Fox//but he cannot see video's or animations. So he uses I.E. to watch tennis, watch videos and the like.

I only use FF for all that stuff

So, I don't know what the heck is up with his machine. He has cable connection.

Can you advise because while I can use both browsers, I see there is a difference in display and performance.

I do not know what he would be missing to make viewing on FF possible. He is up to date.

Thx I don't know who else to ask.

Since it sounds like it not just youtube but also other "animations" and likely other sites as well then just a random first guess would be he doesn't have flash installed or enabled in FireFox or perhaps he has a plug-in like adblock or flashblock that is blocking flash in FF only.

If he does have flash installed and its just not working right have him run the Flash uninstaller and re-install it.

Here is a list of what your friend should install to make things work properly :

    Adobe Flash Player 10.3.181.14 IE.

    Adobe Flash Player 10.3.181.14 Non-IE.

    flash_player_10_active_x.

    Shockwave_Installer_Slim.

    Silverlight.

NOW I understand his problem, partially. It was the way he worded it.
He has a web-site. In order to work on it, it is better done through FF
He wants to put video on his web-site. However he cannot do that using Firefox.
Basically the only way was by using RealPlayer and ticking off the box to make Utube videos work.
In your opinion is that the best and only way to do this? And the most desirable program to use?

What you are explaining doesn't make much sense so let me see if I get it right.

He's trying to edit a web page and add videos to his page? What are these videos? Are they actual video flies he is hosting or are they linked from someplace else?? If for some reason they are running through RealPlayer then they are most likely not from YouTube but some sort of actual video file and it sounds like he might have RealPlayer set as his default video player
