I need a free anti-popup app for IE 6 running Windows XP.
anything good out there?

hmm, i don't know of any that will stop normal pop-ups, but if you run ad-aware, that will really cut down on them. |

| www.analogx.com..... popup stopper is called pow.
each time there is a popup you have to tell pow to kill it, 1st time you see it. You wont see it any more. AnalogX has lots of small free utilities, all run good on my windows box'es. I am using RH7.3 here and Mozilla, I dont get pop-up's with this browser, at least not so far.

Personally, I just prefer to turn off active scripting in the security setting of IE.
This blocks all pop-ups, the drawback is it disables javascript. To counteract this I add the sites that I visit frequently to my trusted sites. |

The proxonmitron is probably the best things Ive found. Blocks ads, popups, javascript, and just about anything else you want. http://proxomitron.cjb.net |

i also use the panicware pop up stopper ... not a bad little program.. stable, and works 98% of the time
and free so you cant beat it! |

I also vote for Panicware's free popup stopper.
No list to keep up to date, it kills ALL popup windows (unless you hold CTRL key). |
