Illigal links

I tried 2 times today will be the 3rd time i will complaing about warez links within the forums. I did report to moderator but no one removed the link. What do I have to do acually take matters into my own hands and report it to the company? I think I will

hrm, you have to realize the mods are humans and do have lives outside of the forums. please be patient and they will get to the post. also its better to see what mod is online and send them a pm (private message). the report to a moderator sends emails.

fair comment about illegal links on the site, but you should just pm the mods with a link

the vast (no bigger than that ) majority of TIMO members abide by the forum protocol

I don't disagree with what you are saying, but having a whole forum brought under scrutiny for the behavior of a few members is a little harsh - shouldn't TIMO have first shout at policing the forums?

Well I been tring for 3 days total, Its ok I reported it to the company, gave them the URL to the site. Fraid to say, it is a russian site i think or maybe Polish, however it has been reported so thusly will be taken care of in due time. I am sure the link will be removed from here prior then the company getting around to shutting down the site.

Acually yes they should however the external site they cant do a thing about so I did what I felt was right. Since I went Legit with my software the last year (i used to have a bootleg copy of both 2k and XP on my computer but no more) I own licenses to XP PRO, 98Fe 98 SE ME and 95 but I use 98SE and XP Pro now. I love going to Usability and Playtest they give me free legit copies of this stuff. Next time I go I am going to get another XP Pro.

Otaru - you are awfully righteous about the whole warez thing for someone who only last year was a self-proclaimed pirate, wouldn't you say? I don't mean to make personal attacks, and I haven't been a member of this forum too long, but I never liked taddle tales in my life, and especially not pretentious ones. If you have to snitch, do it in a pm and let it go, don't get all riled up about it.

If this company were really concerned about it they can just google "+warez +therenamehere" and get a few hundred sites. What exactly was the nature of this warez site? Maybe the moderators checked it out and found it to be insignificant.

I wasnt making any personal attacks and I am not self-rightous I used to be a pirate with one thing Microsoft Products. I now have legit licneses for every Microsoft thing I own. But the thing is, how it may seem, I am not attacking anyone I am just was hoping even tho I did everything in order, nothing happend to the link in a post that someone did. I just dont understand why some posts are right away and some aren't even tho it is blatently in your face. I am not 100% pirate free I still listen to MP3's I make of my own cd's and put them onto a cd for my MP3 player in a way even tho it is not but is legal (damn grey area) I have cut down on the Microsoft pirating, I have licenses for everything now Microsoft and even bought one for mIRCStats and plan to buy a license for Window Blinds. I just felt kinda bad that it still happens. I am far from a Microsoft emploee or anything.

I just want to see that the rules are followed, if we have to follow them so should the person who posted the link. There is alot more on that site than just one bit of software there is alot.

Searched the web for +warez +winxp. Results 1 - 10 of about 60,300. Search took 0.43 seconds.

Searched the web for +warez +warcraft. Results 1 - 10 of about 47,600. Search took 0.73 seconds.

If so, can we mention it in a technical article, like if the police were arresting people for it, could we say it then? He just listed off some interesting search criteria, truly harmless, I think.
