USB Problem...

I have a M830 SiS 735 Chipset mobo. I have the extra pins to add two extra USB ports to my computer but Windows XP will not recognize the extra ports. I wondered if I needed drivers for them or whatever but it doesn't even recognize them.

Do you have link to your motherboard manual? Im try find it cuz wondering about something.... anways linkage please.

Did you check to see if the jumper was placed on correctly?
Yes i found the manual. It should reconize it, and if i remember correctly it should auto install the drivers needed cuz it would copy out your drivers for the first two usb ports that are already attached.

Double check the orentation of the jumper on the USB1 jumper

I've put the USB Jumper on every which way It could possibly go on the pins...without bending the pins of course.

okay, well make sure you have the pins on correctly and then go to this page http://www.pcchips.com/index2.html and downlaod the usb driver and see if this will help out some. Post back to what happens. you can also find the manual on the pages at that link as well to double check the orentation of the usb jumpers.
