I'm using WMP7 and I'm wondering if there is anything better. Something that plays every format. |

That's a pretty good one, real player plays alot tho, and got very good, especially when you have the premium version. The latest update to it added many features to it which are very good. Quick time 6.0 pro is another goodie one, I haven't seen one that is the best, but WMP7 works great for divx and other stuff.

WMP 8 blows WMP 7 out of the water, in terms of speed, performance and well just about everything. Although IMO WMP 6.4 is still the best, loads fast, no frills etc, but hey we have to get with the times eh? =)

I have a divx player 2.0 alpha for divx movies. I have some quick time movies so I will get that. I don't like Real player.
I just got the classic and Powerdivx. What's ac3? |

Oh God, Real Player utterly blows. Don't ever use it except for when it's absolutely necessary.
WMP8 is crap too. WMP7 ain't as bad, but still don't like it.
WMP 6.4 is the way to go. It'll play everything that WMP7 or 8 will play. As long as you got a codec installed for the type of video you're tying to play then there should be no problem.
The Divx Playa ain't bad, but I don't use it. No need for it.
PowerDVD is also an excellent player that will play almost any format you throw at it. |

Power dvd 4.0 deluxe is really good, especially when it comes to sound it blows all away. |
