Want to setup LAN?

I need someone to help suggest the best configuration for LAN workstation, presently i'm using the configuration below:

P1-233Mhz, 64 MB SDRAM, 5.1 GB HDD, Realtek 8139 NIC etc.

Is there any modification to the configuration above, or any adjustment. Please let me know.

The problem is that the computers hangs or stop responding at times when i was surfing the inernet, and at most times i usually got some error messages, i didn't know what to do for real....

I need the help of a genius like you. Can you help me out.

What could be the reason for systems hanging, not responding and automatic restart while working? Please help me out.
