Anyone know much about this? I am building a Access Database to catalog my comic book collection. On one of my forms I want to be able to scan the cover and store it with the record. No big deal.

I scan the cover with a 75 DPI as a jpeg file. The files tend to be anywhere from 60kb to 110kb. The database empty was around 600k. After adding about 10 issues with pictures it ballooned to 40MB! I have around 3000+ issues. This thing will be huge at this rate.

Does Access convert the pictures to a Bitmap or something. Is there a way to store the picture in a smaller format?
