Windows XP Startup Problem

Its a good thing I have Windows 2000 on my computer as a dual boot! For some reason when I try to boot windows xp it stays on that windows xp professional start screen with the blue task leds going by..I let it do that for about 30 mins or so and it still doesn't boot. I 've tried to boot into it many times with no success.. It doesn't need to be defraged. Any Ideas?

Have you tried a logged boot? then read the log to find out what it's sticking on?

The text file bootlog.txt is located in root directory of drive c:. This will overwrite any existing bootlog you have there and name it with a PRV extension.

Cheers!

Not that I know of. When manually creating a System Restore Point you have the oportunity to give the Restore Point a recognizable description. Before you do any installation of software or hardware I would recommend creating a Restore Point. I name mine what ever I'm about to do.

If I'm about to install a 4in1 driver, I call it pre 4in1_4.45

If uninstalling I use post instead of pre.
KISS is a way of life.

Cheers!
