    MS Outlook Question

    Hi,

    I have just stated to use Outlook( the full version not Express) in an attempt to insert a Photo into an e mail. I want the recipient to open the mail and bang there is the photo infront of them no fiddling about with attachments etc.

    I start off by creating a new message and type the recipients address then give it a subject then go through the process of Insert/Picture/From File the picture shows up ok in my mail. I click on send which dispatches the whole thing to the Outbox and then do a Send/Recieve and the message header etc goes but the space where the picture was is blank when it is received.

    I have had a look at all the options and can't see anything relating to an inserted photo.

    I must be doing something completely dense and would be very appreciative if someone could direct me in the correct methods for achieving this.

    Thanks in advance

    Cheers

    From MS Outlook's help ...

    +++++++++++++++++++++

    Send pictures with messages from the Internet
    =================================
    This procedure is available only if you use HTML as your message format.

    On the Tools menu, click Options, and then click the Mail Format tab.

    To include pictures, including any backgrounds, in a message, select the Send pictures from the Internet check box.
    To provide pointers to the pictures instead of including them in a message, clear the Send pictures from the Internet check box.

    Notes
    =====
    Sending pictures can increase the size of a message and can slow down the sending and receiving of messages.

    You can turn this setting on and off for individual messages. In the message, click the Format menu, and then click Send pictures from the Internet.
    ++++++++++++++++++++

    hope this helps,
    nishark

    Hi,

    Theses are not Hi Res pics.

    I will try what is suggested above in the morning. I know that with my AOL Acct I can send up to 10 Mb. I use a different ISP w Outlook and don't know what their limits re but I'll soon find out I guess.

    Righto,

    Thanks for that info NiShark, it posted with the picture no probs. I think some of my problem was that other than not using the help files I was trying to setup the mail with the picture in from the Create New Mail page not from the start page in Outloook.

    Cheers Again,
