    Opera 7.x experiences?

    Hi,

Has anyone had any problems with Opera 7.x?

I initially had a problem with my Bookmarks not showing up properly, this was resolved by reducing the number in the general folder to below 50, the really annoying thing is the jerky page loading that it suffers. It starts off really quick and then just hangs freezing the Opera window for about 25 secs till the window is fully loaded and then everything is ok until I want to reload or change the page.

I have tried the same sites with Zone Alarm on and off, AdSubract on and off and two different ISP's to make sure it isn't my problem. This deosn't happen with Opera 6.05 or IE 6 SP1.

    Cheers

Are you running 7.00 or 7.01?
7.01 is better at page loads for me.

If it's hanging up for a while after you click, it's probably because you have synchronous DNS turned on. You want to turn this off (under the networking section in preferences).

7.01 was already disabled for me, after I installed 7.01.

I got some blank lists on some sites. Lists similar to the forum jump at the bottom of this page.

So far I don't like it enough to replace Mozilla for it.
