i really want to know why when i install SP3 for 2k my computer turns to crap? i now can't use MSIE or WMP. i even up dated MSIE to 6.0 sp1 but i had to do it from the installed i got last time beacuse i couldn't get 5 to connect to anything and MS wont let opera on the update pages. (go figure) now i can live without MSIE but i use WMP alot when i'm watching anime and its a real inconvinence to have to use the really old one in accessories-entertainment and drag what i want to watch into it. yes the onld one works but not the other one. it was working fine before i updated windows.
so really what the heck?
i feel better now |

Strange. It works great for me. I did find though that it seems to mess up some drivers, so I always install SP3 before I install drivers. |

They say Al Pacino helped program sp3, maybe that has an influence.

Still on SP2 here, heard lots of bad about 3 so postponed it, but I guess it's inevitable sometime.
Good call EndobioticChaos, maybe it's worth backing up the current drivers first.

I haven't had any probs with SP3 yet, except when it first came out, got half way through the install and said, missing this and this file, then rebooted, never booted back up, but haven't had a prob since. |
