Alt + PrtScr will paste only the active window in paint,
PrtScr will past the entire contents of the screen into paint.

They are right CM, no need for for any additional apps.
Only thing I'd add is this, you can paste in any photo editing program, not just Paint.

Thanks everyone, the methods you guys post above are the very ones I usually use, however what happens by me is that it only works once.
I use Photoshop to purge the clipboard, but it doesn't help for some reason, so I was wondering if an App would solve this problem I having?.

Ah ha. I know exactly what you need. Thumbs Plus. http://www.cerious.com/
Thumbs has this really cool feature called "auto clip save". What it does is, everytime a photo appears on the clipboard it automatically saves it to a file. And it does this completely in the background so you can just keep doing whatever you are doing, and every time you hit "print screen" it'll get saved to a file.

SWB Capture
It didn't work? I just noticed I have mine set in the options for prompt for file name. It doesn't go to the clipboard. Have you tried that? I love that program!
