linux mandrake 8.1 iso question
i just got done downloading the 3 linux iso's from one of the linux distros.
does anyone know what the label of each cd is named? i have 3 iso's that need to be burned, but i don't know what to label each cd. or does it matter?
also, do i have to manually make the 1st disk bootable? or do i just burn the 1st iso and it'll automatically make the disk bootable?

You don't need to label anything as the label is in the image. What you need to do is to burn the image into cd. This is different to putting the image on CD.
If you use Nero, open it, go to file, burn CD from image, select the image and say ok to whatever says, then burn.
If you just make a data cd and select the image file, you'll end up with a data cd containing the big iso file (useless).
What are you going to burn them with?

i used winISO to extract the files and i was hoping to just burn that way by drag and drop on winxp.
now, i'm burning with nero on windowsxp since you used it as an example.
thanks for the advice.

Just burn the image as it is.
Let us know how it goes.
