icons on desktop?

how to get rid of them,
i want to get them off my desktop everyone of them!
is there a active desktop proggy or a setting in one of the windows properties?

Try this:
Remove all desktop icons
To hide Desktop Icons use Explorer key use the following Windows NT registry hack :
Hive: HKEY_CURRENT_USER
Key: Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Policies \Explorer
Name: NoDesktop
Type: REG_DWORD
Value: 1

Nice background... Can't even tell it's a background, just looks like a pic.
I would think there would be another way(through the GUI) to hide desktop icons in 2K, 'cause there is in 98, ME & XP.
But, it worked... That's all he needed...

This reminds me of an ROP class I'm taking which teaches you how to use the Microsoft Office Programs. They probably don't want to make the my computer Icon available since you might do something to their systems.
