Hey guys......got 2 questions for y'all.......Trying to install a printer...lexmark z32..have used it before but not on this board. keep getting an error during install. "RPC Server not found".....am connecting via USB, as the board (abit AT-7 max 2) doesn't have parallel printer hookup. any ideas??
Second Q......installing windows get SUWIN error....

you have usb enabled? what os? need more info on the setup please

Usb is enabled, win xp have usb mouse, joystick, camera hooked up and all work fine. it recognizes the printer but just won't install.

I notice that you have three devices plugged into usb + the printer - Do you have 4 usb ports?, or are you hot swapping them as needed?

Normally with usb printers, you have to install the software first, and then plug the printer in.

You could try updating the drivers:

http://drivers.lexmark.com/drivers.nsf

The RPC server error - RPC is remote procedure calling (i think), which means the installation softeware could be trying to connect to a lexmark server.

Failing that, have a look at lexmarks support pages:

http://support.lexmark.com

as for the windows installation error, I dont like and hence use winXP, but you could have a look at microsofts support page for info.

I presume though that you already have windows installed in order to have everything else running, so why would you be installing windows again?

windows install is on a diff system....sorry.....but thanks for the help on the printer...
