Well thats if you have SP1 downloaded then installed. If you have a copy of windows that already has sp1 integrated, then you are fine.

This happened with windows 2000 also. Nothing new. When windows 2000 boots up, it says preparing network connections. When I installed SP1 (shocking?!) It did this. The computer hanged at the preparing network connections screen. After formatting the hard disk, and reinstalling, I found on microsoft's website that a bug was in SP1. Hence, I had to download a update to fix that problem!!!

Does MS have any concept that we rely on their OS to work?

Nope, to them it's the other way around: They rely on our money to work, but we wouldn't need to rely on their os to work.

Hmmmm...

On my other computer I installed the SP1 update, couldn't use my themes, so I uninstalled it. Never had a problem with the net connection...

curiouser & curiouser...
