Well thats if you have SP1 downloaded then installed. If you have a copy of windows that already has sp1 integrated, then you are fine. |

i think he is upset because if you install sp1, you cannot remove it because that will happen

This happened with windows 2000 also. Nothing new. When windows 2000 boots up, it says preparing network connections. When I installed SP1 (shocking?!) It did this. The computer hanged at the preparing network connections screen. After formatting the hard disk, and reinstalling, I found on microsoft's website that a bug was in SP1. Hence, I had to download a update to fix that problem!!!

Hmmmm...
On my other computer I installed the SP1 update, couldn't use my themes, so I uninstalled it. Never had a problem with the net connection...
