Cant run REGEDIT.....

Hi ppl,

M8s PC Will not let him do regedit and other stuff from Star\RUN...

It just closes what ever opens up and leaves him looking at his desk top...

His OS is winXP Pro....

Am stilling on the web for any help but you have always come up with some form of help b4 ppl :-D

Does he have administrator rights?

To the best of my knowledge yes...he is the only person to use PC...from new.

and this just cropped up, or has it always been like this? If its XP I would suggest a system restore to a date before this started happening. Bare in mind though he may lose some data doing this.

It sounds as if something he has installed/run has messed windows up a bit. Sorry I can't be more specific.

Something else you might try is right clicking on my computer and selecing properties. Have him do that a few times. See if that pops up right away. If it doesn't it may be a prob XP has with some PC's that can be fixed.
