is there a way, to keep your computer on but not have it as loud and have it really hard to tell that it is on. my computer is really loud and i hate shutting it down. my roomate is really annoited by the sound at night and i am just wondering if you can get it really queit and have it bearly look like its on and still have your appilications running. please write stuff back. thanks. |

What kind of fans do you have in it any case fans? Maybe you should get a baybus to control it, get fans with controllable speeds, or you could try http://www.almico.com/speedfan.php and see if that can control your fan speed, I like it, I turn mine down (as long as there plugged into the motherboard) at night if i keep it on. |

i have a cpu fan,case,and a cheap system blower but its not the system blower. ya i want to keep it on at night but its to loud. |

What CPU fan do you have? stock fan? and is your case fan plugged into the mobo? If it is, try that app above.

Try that program, see if it detects fans and if you can adjust them, also, is the fan just what came with the computer/cpu? if it is, then its the stock one. |

i custom and built my computer. just ordered the cpu and retail fan. also that program has fan 1 at 3924 rpm and fans 2 and 3 at 0. how can i change this? |

If you can change it, there will be Speed1,Speed2,Speed3 in the bottom left of the program. Change the one with the speed at 3292rpm. |

It probably isn't suported, heres my screen: 
lol, my fan speed is not really that high, its just too slow for the monitor i guess.. |
