    Quadruple boot.

I want to quadruple boot my main computer. I have a game plan, but am not sure if it will work.

    Windows 98(For my older games)
Windows ME(Just to play around with)
Windows 2000 PRO/SERVER/ADSERVER(Which one do you recommend?)
    Windows XP Home

    This is my game plan.

    Hard drive:
    40gig
    8gig
    1.5gig

I am going to partition the 8 gig into 4 seperate partitions(Each partition size will very with which version of windows I want to install on that partition)

I will keep all of my games/music/movies on my 40gig.

And will keep all of my word/excel/ pictures on my 1.5gig drive.

Will this work? Or will a program not work in one operating system if I installed it under another operating system?

    Thanks,
    BiZkItKiD2001

trying to use all your new found cd's huh?

you got general idea with oldest to newest but why not slap extra drive in there and make it easier.

so far as apps working, a lot of them wont work right w/o reinstalling. its hit and miss, just got to try them

Maybe I can go through my uncles old pc parts from his work and see if I cna find some old hard drives from his servers and have one hard drive per OS. But i still run into the problem of having to reinstall of the programs for each OS.

Yeah, XOSL would be the best way as 98 and ME won't want to go on the same system together, so you can hide that partitions from them. Go oldest to newest (98, ME, 2k, XP) that in itself will set up a boot loader but you would still have problems with 98 and ME both being installed. Thus go with XOSL as bshplt suggested.

you can start install win98 first. Then install Boot Magic (can only live on fat/fat32) on the same partition as win 98. Then as nukes said -> me, 2k, and finally XP. Gotta be careful w/ xp. It could try to take over the MBR totally.
