    CRASH your IE browser here!

    Another example of excellent MS programming, Internet Explorer can be crashed with a single line of html, no java, activex or anything needed.

    CLICK THIS LINK ONLY IF
    A) YOU'RE NOT USING IE
    B) YOU HAVE NO IMPORTANT WINDOWS OPEN

    Crash Away

    Note, the html that causes the crash is this:
    Code:
    <html><form><input type crash></form></html>
    Weeeee!

    EDIT: Apparently the crash-causing dll is shared by several different applications, it's not specific to Internet Explorer.

    TechIMO News yesterday

    What I found interesting.. is that this does not crash it
    Code:
    <html>
    <head>
    <title>Crash IE Here</title>
    </head>
    <body>

    <P><B> Ok this should be crashing IE about here... </B>
    <form>
    <input type OMGthisodoesn'twork>
    </form>

    </body>
    </html>
    But this DOES
    Code:
    <html>
    <form>
    <input type crash>
    </form>
    </html>
    wonder why that is?

    Note:
    The article says the input type is not important, as long as something is there, and I did try putting 'crash' and it still does not work.

    You just know all the juveniles are going to be putting this in their webpages to think they're cool
    More reasons to use an alternative browser like Opera

    I just found another one that will crash it if you put your mouse over a table:

    AGAIN, DON'T CLICK IT UNLESS YOU'RE READY TO CRASH.

    This one is more fun 'cause it's interactive crashing

    LOL, me too!

    I love multi-tabbing!!! Once had about 46-47 tabs open at once but mozilla actually stopped responding!

    There is currently a fix for that, but as I said this is why I use Opera. I've never once had a problem with it except the one time I tried to do a Terminal Services connect through it.

    Its like the article said, security hole big enough for an electronic elephat to waltz through.

    ya TS web client is an activex control so only IE will work with it.
    Thankfully Opera does not support activex
