Recovering File Deleted From DFS

Does anyone know if you can recover a file that was deleted from a DFS share. Using Win2Kk Server and XP Pro workstations. When you delete a file from a DFS it doesn't go to the recycle bin, I've also checked to see if it was stored on the server somewhere and I couldn't find it there either. Your help is appreciated.

Deleting a file from dfs share is like deleting a file with shift pressed. It deletes it from the disk.

The only way to recover a file deleted that way is to use a recovery software, like easy recovery from ontrack. That is, if nothing has been written over the file.
In case a portition/whole file has been overwritten you will probably end up with corrupted/useless file.

Sure it does! I've used it dozens of times on Windows 2000 systems that use NTFS.

Check out this quote from their website:

PC INSPECTOR™ File Recovery is a data recovery program that supports the FAT 12/16/32 and NTFS file systems.

Sorry, I didn't read enough, I guess this quote was just for lost partitions? Thanks again for the help.
