sharing a folder problem

I have a laptop running win98se and office 2000 / outlook 2000.

I wanted to connect it to my home network, nt4.0 sp6a, and share a specific folder on the laptop to the network.

I keep getting the same error when I try to share it or any folder, something about no default mail client set and to run outlook to set the default client. Further, I get an error message stating that "you can not view the user list at this time, please try later. When I logon to the network, it is as a domain admin.

Where is the menu pick for outlook default client?
Any guesses on the user list.

that's a weird one. is outlook configured for internet mail only? or exchange?

you can set that in your internet options, under the applications tab.

make sure your workgroup in 98se is set to the same domain as nt and that you're logging in with the same user/pass.

Outlook is configured as inter net only.

the domain is set correct.
