need help with win 98x

my windows screwed up and after it was fixed i could not open my files with 1 click or 2 i have to open them with the right click of the mouse i installed windows again but it is still the same is the anything to do for this before i used to open them with one click

Go into your control panel, click the mouse icon and configure from there. it might be set for a left handed person. like all right click options are on left and vice versa. hopefully that is the case.

Have you tried looking in Start > Settings > Control Panel > and clicked on the Mouse properties? You should have some choices there.
