Sound issues in XP
I'm having some sound issues that I can't resolve.
I quad boot ME,2000,XP, and Mandrake and the only prob. is with XP.This is onboard VIA sound on an MSI MOBO.
The sound is out of sync with system evens. If I get a popup error or question the sound occurs a couple of seconds after the event. Also, I have to re-install the sound driver after every restart, if I don't the sound is bad. If I install a PCI sound card, I can use the onboard sound without having to reinstall drivers after every boot, but the sound will still be out of sync with the events.
The sound being out of sync is new, haven't had that problem previously.
Any help is appreciated.

have you tried updating the via 4-in-1 board drivers? I have read that they don't always take too well!
of course it can be fixed!
