word 2002 vs works 2002

Hello all,

Just a quick question. What is the difference between the box version of Word 2002 and the Word version in Works Suite 2002? Just curious.

i dont think there is much difference between word and works except the huge price difference... and word has some more options but i dont think its worth the extra money

From what I can see:
WORKS is a template app
WORD is more complex, but you do a whole lot more with it.
Also, if you save something in Works, it will save as a .wks (I think thats right) and you save something in Word as .doc
I use both, well actaully, I use Works, Word 2000 and Word 2002

In the newer versions of Works, 2001, 2002, Microsoft includes Word and ditches the old Works Word processor, which I think Ed is referring to.

don't think there is much difference.

Correct me if I am wrong but I found it very hard to move files from works to office or is it just me? If it isn't then adding word to the works package helps a lot.
