I don't know what I did wrong, but I can not access/edit my web page via front page, I went to my control panel and tried to reinstall the frontpage extensions, and this is the error message that I get.

"Error: The server extensions were unable to access the file ".htaccess". Please check the file permissions."
Any help would be great,
