My computer has crashed. I go into bios and try to boot from the CD as the 1st and 2nd option but nothing happens. I press escape atfer pressing F10 and this takes me to the screen page displaying the bios version ,processor speed,memory check ect. and a message comes up "detecting hard-drive". This page is frozen and pressing any other keys does not progess the boot process.
I opened the machine ensured the IDE cables were secure and inplace .I listened to the HDD it was spinning from the humming sound it made. I placed the recovery cd disks that came with the system in the drive but it does not spin however the orange light alights when the CD is placed in the drive.
What steps should I take to revive the PC
