Let's get this on video, fellas. Especially with the cat wrapped in tin foil...that should be good enough for 60 Minutes to come in and investigate. |

Does the door say 'AOL' anywhere on it?
Why would the door need a computer anyway? |

Any actvity on the cat door and linux? just thought I'd try to see what's happening here now...
How about you try BEOS, thekemp, and see what that does?
Maybe it's only windoze that doesn't do it!
How about different versions of windows or DOS - is it a 32 bit thing?
[Got no idea why a 32 bit OS would cause a battery operated door to go beserk, though- cycles??. Have to think of some explanations! Might get me a Nobel or something!] | |

Is your version of Windows a Home or Pro edition???
Home editions may have non-cat interference software running, or is it a Pro-dog version?
(Sorry, it was the best I could come up with at the time.) |

I'd recompile your kernel.
Why, heck I dunno, just sounds like the kinda thing one of you linux guys would do.
Have you tried moving the computer further away? Run an extension cord from another outlet? Booted the computer in your neighbor's house. At some point, the door will stop opening. Then I'd backtrack from there.
LOL....this is one of the weirdest things I've read in a while. |
