yea! updating my /etc/apt/sources.list is what i did when i upgraded my debain box, that is a while ago (~6 months) i know something messed up my kernel so i opted for my own which fixed the problem, i don't think i like any program updating my kernel, although up2date has impressed me.

I looks like I might have to pic up a compatible NIC first though.....
