Multiple OS Program Installation

OK heres the deal.

Im running Win 2k and Win XP bolth Pro versions.

Now I have Frontpage installed in 2k but i cant use it in XP because as you all know the 2 OS's operate independently of each other. My Question is.....Is there a way for me to use Frontpage in XP without installing it a second time, because at the moment until i can afford to upgrade My space is very precious and limited.

there is another post floating round here with a similare question. You have to install it for both os's but install it in the same place both times. If ya know what I mean. Never tried it myself but works for others

GRIOBHTA....is correct - you will need to install it for each operating system as both operating systems have separate registries and need those registry entries to make the application work.

Installing the application in the same place both times will allow for you to have both registries correct, while only having the actual program files in one place.

For some programs, you can navigate to your other partition and manually launch them. Or, by the same token, you can put a shortcut to the proggy's exe on your OS that doesn't have it on your desktop.

Like I said, it works works for some programs, others no. Depending on what progs you use, your milage will vary. If partitioning is an option, either via partition magic or fdisk, I would recommend having a 2k OS part, an XP OS part, and a programs part. Run the Installation program for each proggy on each OS, but ofcourse the install location would be the same. Gribhota said this, but not in so many words. I think my explanation is clear, if you didnt already know what he meant.
