Does anyone know of a way to
1) uninstall Office 2000 Premium and
2) install Office 2000 Standard on Windows 2000
3) install MS Access 2000 (runtime)?
My problem lies with machines running multiple profiles. When I uninstall Premium in one profile, reboot, run regclean, reboot, install Office Standard and Access Runtime I find that various registry settings remain from Office Premium.
When other user profiles log into the machine, then find that when they open Access Runtime they are able to access full menu bars etc (which is NOT desired at all) and as they try to open forms etc, they encounter a missing registry entry and Access terminates.
Also, all other profiles (including newly created profiles) show Office 2000 Premium, Office 2000 Standard, and Access 2000 Runtime in their ADD/REMOVE PROGRAMS list.
I just want to clean up these machines and restrict user access to modification of Access database designs or data without going through the application GUI.
I suspect that part of the problem rests in the fact that Access Runtime and Office Premium have the same product key (having both installation been created from Office 2000 Developer).
